According to Grzegorz Leszczyński, stereotypical approaches to the phenomenon of death in children's literature include: orphan-hood of protagonist, death of the enemy and heroic death of the main character. All those elements can be found in Harry Potter books. In this article I present an interdependent type of Harry and Lord Voldemort's relationship in the context of death in its various realizations. The main figure of the analysis is Harry Potter himself, boy that from the beginning of the story has a piece of Dark Lord inside him - as a child-horcrux.
